St Germain delivers a soulful and ethnically diverse performance on this CD. "Rose Rouge" has been a song that haunted me in a wonderful way, but I did not know the performers. Now I own it and will listen to it over and over again, especially when I am in that jazzy late night cappuccino mood.
If you like great sampling of blues music, then " Sure thing" is for you, I love this remix sampling.
Tourist by St. I like it as inspiring background music, and I think everybody that listened to it here liked it very much. Germain, a sixty minute long CD, appeals to me because I love jazz. This is a disciplined approach to mid-tempo jazz fusion, with vocals that don't for a moment dominate but blend perfectly with the layers of instrumentation. There are some surprises such as a great flute solo. There is genius in this CD.
One of the best all-time studio produced albums and in my top 25 all-time albums list right up there with "A Space in Time", "Bridge of Sighs" & "Wish You Were Here" and I have had people walk up to me in my car while playing this album and asking where they can get this and who it was more than any other album in recent memory. The quality, beat, hypnotic rhythms and passion draws people wherever it is played.
I looked for the song Rose Rouge for an eternity, after I heard it on the movie Serendipity, but it wasn't in the soundtrack. This cd is just amazing.I love it.
